Getting-started guidance and answers to common questions about Pacer Production Scheduler.

How do I install Pacer Production Scheduler?

Pacer Production Scheduler is distributed through Microsoft AppSource. From your Business Central environment, go to Extension Marketplace, search for Pacer Production Scheduler, and install it — or find it directly on AppSource and get it from there.

Do I need to set anything up before I start?

Pacer Production Scheduler reads working days and shift hours from your Business Central Shop Calendar, so make sure that's configured first. From there, a setup wizard walks you through shift hours, buffer settings, and machine rules — all adjustable later from Scheduler Setup.

Can I try it with sample data first?

Yes — the setup wizard can create sample production data so you can try scheduling before connecting your own orders. Sample data is only created in sandbox and evaluation companies, and can be removed completely without touching your real data.

Does Pacer Production Scheduler replace Business Central's own production planning?

No — it works alongside it. Business Central gives you infinite-capacity MRP dates; Pacer Production Scheduler turns those into a finite-capacity, material-aware schedule your shop can actually run, without leaving Business Central.

What if I get stuck?

See Support — email us and, if it's a scheduling behavior you want us to look at, use the in-appDownload Diagnostic Dump action to send us the details.

Where can I read about pricing and editions?

Pacer Production Scheduler is a single edition with everything included — seePricing.
