Business Central Extension Privacy Notice
Last updated: August 2026
This notice explains how the Pacer Production Scheduler extension handles data once installed in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. It's separate from our website privacy policy, which covers https://schedulingbay.com only (contact forms, site analytics) — this page is about the product itself.
Where your data lives
Pacer Production Scheduler runs as a native extension inside your Business Central environment. Your production, scheduling, and setup data stays in your Business Central database — the extension reads and writes it there, the same as any other Business Central table.
AI features
AI-assisted features (the setup and scheduling chat assistants) use Microsoft's own Azure OpenAI service, made available through your Business Central subscription's Copilot capability. Requests are processed under Microsoft's own Copilot terms and data-handling commitments for your tenant — Scheduling Bay LLC does not operate or receive data through a separate AI service.
The scheduling engine
The core scheduling engine runs entirely within your Business Central environment. Building a schedule does not send your production data outside Business Central.
Diagnostic dump export
The product includes an optional, user-initiated "Download Diagnostic Dump" action, intended for troubleshooting with support. When a planner clicks it, a file containing the current schedule, relevant setup configuration, and product run logs is downloaded directly to that planner's device — it does not pass through any server we operate. What happens to the file after download (for example, emailing it to support) is under your organization's control. Business Central logs who downloaded a dump and when, viewable from within the product, so there's a record of when this export was used.
Your choices
Business Central's standard permission and role model governs who can use Pacer Production Scheduler's features, including the diagnostic export. Contact your Business Central administrator to manage access.
Changes
We may update this notice as the product's data handling changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
